Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 September 2026
These Terms govern access to and use of Music Server. By using an approved Music Server account, or by using a public Event/Guest feature, you agree to use the service in accordance with these Terms.
1. Purpose of Music Server
Music Server provides a private music library, set and event management, musician Live following, and public lyric/display features. It is not a public file-sharing service or a commercial music-licensing service.
2. Accounts and access
- Account access is granted manually and may be refused, suspended or withdrawn.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
- You must not share a personal account in a way that bypasses intended access controls.
- The restricted Guest feature may be used for joining permitted Live or Event displays.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use Music Server to:
- gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
- interfere with the operation, security or availability of the service;
- upload malicious code or deliberately abuse Live, signalling or Event functions;
- use another person's account without permission; or
- use the service in a way that is unlawful or infringes another person's rights.
4. Music, lyrics and other content
Users are responsible for ensuring that content they add, display, print, export or otherwise use through Music Server is used lawfully and under any required copyright, CCLI or other licence. Music Server does not grant rights in third-party songs, lyrics, chord charts or other copyrighted material merely because the application can store or display them.
Content you enter remains under the control of the Music Server operator. By adding or editing content, you authorise Music Server to store, render, transmit to authorised Live participants, back up and otherwise process that content as necessary to provide the service.
5. Public Event links and QR codes
Event codes and QR links may be intended for public viewing. Anyone who receives a public Event link may be able to open its audience display while that Event is available. Do not place private or sensitive information in material intended for public Event display.
6. Availability and changes
Music Server is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, network or power failure, software updates, hardware faults or events outside the operator's control. Features may be changed, added or removed as the application evolves.
7. Backups and data loss
Music Server may maintain local and off-site backups, but no backup system is infallible. Users should not treat Music Server as the sole archival copy of irreplaceable material. Recovery may restore data to an earlier backup point rather than the exact state immediately before a failure.
8. Security
You must promptly report suspected unauthorised access, exposed credentials or security problems. The operator may reset credentials, end sessions or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or its users.
9. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer and limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Music Server is provided without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every performance or event. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Suspension or termination
Access may be suspended or terminated for misuse, security reasons, prolonged inactivity, operational reasons, or breach of these Terms. Public Guest/Event access may also be disabled at any time.
12. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as Music Server changes. The current version will remain available at this page and will show its last-updated date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
